If you're looking for a quick answer...

I typically do pick a book/article based on themes being discussed in the classroom. I'll use the same book for several sessions so we can really dig into the vocabulary and use it to target a range of skills (e.g., grammar, story retell, answering questions, etc). I select targets based on the needs of the students in the group.
