This article will walk you through the best way to document supervision notes as the supervising SLP. This will ensure that both you and your SLPA have an accurate record of the time you spent supervising them and that they will be able to view any notes you take during their observations.

First, you'll want to create custom session types for direct and indirect supervision. You can do that in your settings, here.

Next, head to your Caseload tab and add your SLPA as a student to your Caseload (here are the steps for adding a student to your Caseload). Include the amount of time you plan to supervise your assistant as the service time(s) for the "student." Here's more information about setting up service times.

Now, assign the "student" to your assistant by following the steps in this article. Once assigned, your assistant will be able to view notes you take during their observations as well as the time you spend supervising them.

Head to your Planner and create blocks of time that you plan to supervise your SLPA (directly and indirectly). Make sure that the Type corresponds to what you set up in the "student" profile to ensure that the service times are calculated accurately.

Now you will add your SLPA to your session as the "student" under the Students tab. You can take observation notes that they will be able to view by typing in the Data Entry box.

You can find out more about how to create a schedule in your Planner here.
