This article will show you how to document direct and indirect supervision time for your assistant(s).

Before getting started, please make sure you have invited your assistant and that they have accepted the invitation. Refer to this article for more help with this.

Navigate to your settings and click Assistant Accounts from the left sidebar. Now, click on the assistant you would like to document supervision for.

Now, you'll be able to add a supervision record by clicking the button Add Supervision Record:

When you click the button, a modal will pop up that will allow you to enter supervision details and a note. Enter the information and then "Save" when you're done.

The note will now be shown under your supervision records for this SLPA. It can be edited or deleted, if needed.

When a supervision note is saved, both the supervisor and the SLPA will be able to view the note under the Notes tab. Select the Supervision note type from the dropdown to view only supervision notes.

You'll also be able to view a running total of the direct and indirect supervision hours in the Assistant Accounts section. You can adjust how you track supervision time, as well (explained below).

If you need to adjust how supervision hours are tracked, go back into the assistant profile and hit the settings button.

This modal will allow you to configure your supervision targets for each assistant:

  1. Adjust the period duration: The custom option will allow you to enter a specific date range for tracking. The weekly and monthly options will be calendar-based.

  2. Adjust how targets are calculated: Using the percentage of session option will automatically calculate the percentage of direct/indirect hours you record supervision based on how many total sessions your SLPA has scheduled in their Planner (either per week, per month, or within the custom date range that you set). Using the fixed hours option will track the number of hours you enter against the number of hours required within the given period of time.

  3. Adjust direct and indirect supervision targets: Based on supervision requirements, you can change the number of hours or the percentage of time that supervision is required within the given period that you have set.
